Bangladesh Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman met with Maldives President Mohammed Mujibur Rahman at the Maldives President’s office on Saturday (July 25) night.
The country’s president’s office announced this in a press release.
The press release said that President Mohammad Muizzu extended a warm welcome to Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and expressed his sincere gratitude for his visit to the Maldives as the government’s special guest at the 61st Independence Day celebrations.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations, with special emphasis on multilateral cooperation, opportunities in the education sector, and people-to-people contacts.
Highlighting the long-standing bilateral relations and friendship between the two sides, the commitment to further strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual benefit and interest was reiterated.
Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman arrived in the Maldives on Saturday (July 25). Upon arrival in the Maldives, he was welcomed by the country’s Foreign Minister Iruthisam Adam and senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
