Prime Minister’s political assistant Muhammad Rashed Khan has criticized Colonel (retd) Oli Ahmed’s recent statement on the fall of the BNP government.
He claimed that there is a tendency for disintegration instead of unity in the opposition political alliance.
Rashed Khan said that with the recent exit of the Khilafat Majlis alliance, the alliance, which was previously called an 11-party alliance, has now reduced to a 9-party alliance. According to him, this is an indication of the weakness of the opposition alliance.
He further claimed that Col. (Retd.) Oli Ahmed had been involved in a disagreement with BNP over seat sharing in the past. In this context, he expressed his political assessment and said that BNP’s decision was based on the calculation of Jamaat’s potential profit and loss.
