Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN), Vasily Nebenzya, commented on the Easter truce between Russia and Ukraine . His words were quoted by RIA Novosti .
At a UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine, Nebenzya emphasized that the recent Easter truce cannot be perceived as a prelude to a long-term ceasefire. He reiterated that Moscow supports resolving the conflict and addressing its root causes.
The Easter ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine ended on the night of April 12-13 . According to the Ministry of Defense press service, during the temporary ceasefire, 1,971 attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) to attack Russian troop positions were recorded.
