A new committee has been announced for the remaining period of the 2026 session of Jagannath University branch of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir. Abdul Alim Arif, General Secretary (GS) of Jagannath University Central Students’ Union (JCSU), has been elected as the president. Ibrahim Khalil, Education and Research Secretary of JCSU, has been appointed as the General Secretary (Secretary).
The new committee was announced at a gathering of university branch members on Sunday evening. This information was confirmed by the official Facebook page of the student camp.
The gathering was hosted by Central Media Editor Md. Mu’tasim Billah Shahedi and was attended by the organization’s Central Secretary General Sibgatullah as the chief guest. Voting was conducted through ballot papers signed by the Central President. After the counting of votes, Abdul Alim Arif, who received the most votes, was declared the president and he was sworn in.
Later, based on the advice of the organization’s members, the newly elected president Abdul Alim Arif nominated Ibrahim Khalil as the branch secretary. The newly elected president Abdul Alim is currently serving as the GS of JACSUR and the general secretary Ibrahim Khalil is serving as the Education and Research Secretary of JACSUR.
