The United States has hit several bridges in Iran, in what is believed to be Tehran’s largest retaliatory strike since the ceasefire collapsed.
Iran has launched attacks on Qatar, Kuwait and Jordan, and has also claimed to have targeted US military installations in Bahrain and Oman.
These new Iranian retaliatory attacks appear to be the largest in the region since talks with the United States failed.
Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency reported that several bridges in southern Iran were damaged in the latest US strikes.
Most of the bridges that have been claimed to have been targeted are located on the route connecting the coastal city of Bandar Abbas on the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran may target a key port network in the Gulf countries in response to multiple US attacks on a maritime control tower in the Iranian city of Chabahar, Fars reported.
