Police have arrested Tanim Reza Bappi, known as the second-in-command of top terrorist Subrata Bain, from the capital’s Kamalapur area.
Motijheel police arrested him during a raid on the Kamalapur area on Friday (July 17) night.
Law enforcement sources said that Tanim Reza Bappi was involved in various criminal activities as a close associate of top terrorist Subrata Bain for a long time. He was also allegedly one of the controllers of Subrata Bain’s arsenal.
Confirming the arrest, Motijheel Division Deputy Police Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Harun Or Rashid said, “Motijheel Police Station has arrested Tanim Reza Bappi. There are multiple cases against him in different police stations of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
He further said that the process of taking legal action against the arrested Tanim Reza Bappi is ongoing.
