BNP has never talked about constitutional reform, but has always taken a stand in favor of amending the constitution, party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has clarified.
He made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a memorial service at the National Press Club on Friday (July 17) afternoon.
This meeting was organized to mark the sixth death anniversary of Professor Emajuddin Ahmed.
Amid the ongoing political discussions on constitutional changes, Mirza Fakhrul clarified his party’s position and said, “Constitutional reform and constitutional amendment are not the same.”
We have always said that we want to amend the constitution. We have never talked about constitutional reform.
