Heavy rains are continuing in various parts of the country, including the capital Dhaka. Along with this, landslides and landslides have caused severe flooding in seven districts – Khagrachari, Rangamati, Bandarban, Cox’s Bazar, Chittagong, Moulvibazar and Habiganj.
In some places, the flood situation has improved somewhat, while in others, the situation has worsened.

Meanwhile, the Flood Forecasting and Warning Center of the Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) says that water levels in some rivers are rising due to continued heavy to very heavy rainfall in different parts of the country. Short-term floods may occur in various low-lying areas of Chittagong, Sylhet, Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions in the next 24 to 48 hours.
The Meteorological Office, citing the record rainfall in the previous 24 hours from 6 pm, said that the highest rainfall was recorded on Sunday (July 12) since 2009. The highest rainfall recorded in Dhaka in 24 hours during the 2009 monsoon was 333 millimeters. After 17 years, 175 millimeters were recorded in 24 hours today.
