Thanks to telemedicine, Moscow has been able to establish an effective system for early diagnosis and monitoring of children’s health at all stages of treatment. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced this on his Telegram channel.
According to the official, this system allows for timely assistance to be provided to children, so that doctors rarely encounter advanced childhood illnesses. “Last year, we opened six treatment centers for children with heart and gastrointestinal diseases in Moscow, as well as four early intervention centers. More than 5,000 children are registered with these treatment centers, and over 4,000 children receive early intervention,” Sobyanin recalled.

He emphasized that each of these centers offers a telemedicine service for online consultations. During the consultation, specialists explain test results to parents, help renew necessary prescriptions, and help determine whether their child needs an in-person appointment. A telemedicine consultation can be scheduled without a referral if the child is registered with one of the centers.
Earlier, Sobyanin announced the creation of its own infrastructure for each Moscow school.
