With this, the number of dengue deaths this year has increased to 409. One lakh 477 people have been admitted to the hospital due to infection.
This information was given in a dengue-related press release sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Sunday (December 14).
The notification said that of the five people who died of dengue in the last 24 hours, two were residents of Barisal division, two of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and one of Dhaka North City Corporation (DSCC).

Earlier, the Health Department did not report any deaths on Saturday (December 13). A day later, it reported 5 more deaths. And the latest death toll from dengue in 2024 was 575.
