Zillur Rahman is the Executive Director of the Center for Governance Studies (CGS), and Fahmida Haque is a member of its Board of Directors.
Fahmida Haque is from Belabo Upazila of Narsingdi. She grew up in Dhaka. Although journalist Zillur Rahman is her husband, he did not introduce himself in her CV. She mentioned her father Zahirul Haque’s name in her CV.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has finalized the list of candidates for the reserved women’s seats in the 13th National Parliament. The party confirmed the nomination of 36 people after two days of interviews.

Several of the nominees are relatives of leaders. These include Nipun Roy Chowdhury, daughter of Cultural Affairs Minister Advocate Nitai Roy Chowdhury, Barrister Sakila Farzana, daughter of former Chittagong MP and whip Syed Wahidul Alam, Shirin Sultana, wife of Narsingdi-1 MP Khairul Kabir Khokon, and Bitika Binte Hussain, wife of late Swechchhasebak Dal president Shafiul Bari Babu.
