When the National Guard arrived, the perpetrators fled but were caught. The officers lined the migrants up in a “train” formation—a line with hands on the body of the person in front—and led them into the police station.
It was later revealed that the individuals, aged 22 to 38, from neighboring countries, were involved in more than ten similar criminal incidents.
Earlier, a man was arrested in Moscow for stealing 98 chocolate bars. The 37-year-old resident of the Moscow region entered a store on Gogolevsky Boulevard posing as a customer. He placed the stolen chocolates in a backpack and, bypassing the checkout, fled. Upon discovering the theft, a store employee contacted the police.
