Anatoly Lisetsky, commander of the elite 14th Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), was dismissed due to failures on the front lines and corruption, RIA Novosti reports .
A source in the Russian security forces clarified that Lisetsky, commander of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great, had led the brigade since August 2023. His departure was due to dissatisfaction with his performance.
“Lisetsky took pickup trucks loaded with humanitarian aid and sold them on the black market. There were a lot of questions for him,” the source said.
It was previously reported that Ukraine had deployed an elite unit to a difficult combat zone. The marines were deployed in the area where the Russian Forces Group Center is operating.
