My father’s face would light up whenever he heard the name Armanitola. Whenever the topic of hockey, school, or clubs came up, a different kind of joy would shine in his eyes.
Ishtiaq Sadeq, the eldest son of the late National Award-winning legendary hockey player Abdus Sadeq, spoke these words in an emotional voice.
He made these remarks at a memorial service and prayer meeting for national award-winning hockey legend Abdus Sadeq, organized by The Armanitolaan’s Club at the Armanitola Government High School Auditorium in the capital on Friday (July 3) afternoon.
T Sports CEO and sports personality Ishtiaq Sadeq said, “My father’s life journey began in Armanitola. The school, clubs and hockey here were inextricably linked to his life.”
“Being here today, I understand better how much you loved my father. We are truly overwhelmed by your respect and love for him,” he said.
