BCB plans to build modern facilities including dormitories in major stadiums

From Chittagong: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has embarked on a plan to improve the existing facilities at the country’s international cricket venues. A plan has been taken to build modern training, accommodation and gym facilities around the country’s eight divisional stadiums.

Top BCB officials visited the Chittagong Stadium on Thursday. They toured the entire field and outer facilities and discussed future development plans.

Board President Tamim Iqbal has been directly supervising these development activities since he took charge.
Plans have been made to transform the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium in Chittagong into a modern cricket complex in the near future.
Where there will be international standard training facilities and an improved environment for players.

While the initial plan includes improving the stadium’s outer ground wickets and modernizing the indoor facilities, the larger plan is to build dormitories for first-class cricketers, starting from under-14.

The main goal of this plan is the safety and comfort of the players and the smooth running of BCB’s various activities throughout the year.
