Children in the remote Kurukpata Union of Alikadam, Bandarban, have been showing symptoms of measles, including fever, cold, rash, and difficulty breathing. Fifteen children were admitted to the Alikadam Health Center with measles symptoms on Thursday and Wednesday. Public representatives said that children are falling ill in several neighborhoods of the union. Among them, a child from a private orphanage in the union died of measles symptoms last Tuesday.
The child who died on Tuesday night is named Changmum Mro (8). The matter came to light on Wednesday night due to the remote area. Changmum Mro’s home is in Ward No. 9 of Kurakpata Union of the upazila.
