Six workers have been abducted from a place called Hatirdera in Ward No. 6 of Tongkabati Union in Bandarban.
The incident occurred around 11:30 pm on Wednesday (April 22).
According to police and locals, armed terrorists kidnapped six workers working in a rubber plantation owned by Md. Ismail in Hatirdera area of Ward No. 6 of Tongkabati Union at around 11:30 last night. Local residents later informed the police about the matter.
The abductees are Md. Ismail, Md. Arafat, Md. Shafiq, Md. Nurul Afsar, Md. Kalimulla and Md. Ramit. It is initially known that they are residents of Lama upazila of Bandarban.
Bandarban Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Farhad Sardar confirmed the matter and told Banglanews that the police started working to rescue them immediately after receiving the news of the kidnapping.
