Ensuring quality education is one of the government’s priorities: Prime Minister

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman said, ‘Ensuring quality education for every student in the country is one of the government’s priorities. To this end, coordinated initiatives, effective supervision, and timely implementation of plans will continue to bring about qualitative changes at every level of the education system.’

He made these remarks during a view-exchange meeting with senior officials of the ministry, heads of various departments and organizations, and experienced education officers serving at the field level during his visit to the Ministry of Education at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Tuesday (July 28) afternoon.

The Prime Minister’s Assistant Press Secretary KM Nazmul Haque said that the meeting presented a detailed presentation on the ongoing activities of the Ministry of Education, various development projects, progress in the implementation of education policies and administrative efficiency. The Prime Minister reviewed these activities and gave necessary directions to the concerned officials.

He said that the meeting focused on improving the quality of education, ensuring regular classroom attendance of students, effective teaching, timely and continuous training of teachers, expanding technology-based education, and strengthening administrative accountability.
