The International Cricket Council (ICC) has taken several important decisions at its four-day annual conference in Edinburgh, Scotland. The conference has upheld the decision to suspend the membership of United States Cricket (USAC) and Cricket Canada.
At the same time, the world cricket governing body has issued a warning to France Cricket.
According to a report by cricket-based website Cricbuzz, the ICC has not yet taken a final decision on the issue of reinstating USAC’s membership, which has been suspended since September 2025.
Although the inclusion of cricket in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics is on the horizon, the organization wants to give more time to US cricket.
On the other hand, Cricket Canada, which was suspended in June, has been ordered to quickly resolve some internal issues.
At this time, the possibility of including a Canadian franchise in Major League Cricket was also discussed.
The Mauritius Cricket Federation has been recognized as a new associate member at this year’s conference.
