One child has died of measles and four children with measles symptoms in the country in the last 24 hours as of 8 am today, Thursday.
A total of 39 children have died of measles since March 15. And 194 children have died with measles symptoms.
This information was given in the updated measles report of the Directorate General of Health Services today. During this period, 125 children have been infected with measles. And 847 children have been admitted to the hospital.
The Department of Health says that in the last 24 hours, three children with measles and measles symptoms have died in Dhaka division. The remaining two children with measles symptoms have died in Khulna and Chittagong divisions.
The Department of Health says that 1,170 children across the country have shown symptoms of measles in the past 24 hours. Of these, 847 children have been admitted to hospitals. Of these, 355 children are from Dhaka division.
In addition, 836 children admitted with measles symptoms have been discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours. Of these, 420 children from Dhaka Division have been discharged.
