Natore: Due to internal conflict, bus services of both districts have been suspended on the Natore-Rajshahi route. However, although bus services of other districts are operating normally on this route, passengers are suffering as most of the buses are suspended.
Bus services on the Natore-Rajshahi route were suddenly suspended without prior announcement from around 3 pm on Tuesday (April 21).
The common people are having to pay the price for this internal conflict within the owners’ association.
Hundreds of passengers are in trouble due to the suspension of bus services on this route. Despite the crowds gathering at the counters, they are unable to find the desired bus.
Although some buses from other districts are operating, they are negligible compared to the demand. As a result, women, children, and office-going passengers are facing extreme hardship.
Natore District Bus-Minibus and Microbus Owners Association President Prashant Kumar Poddar told Banglanews that ignoring the rules of the Inter-District Bus Owners Association, the Rajshahi Bus Owners Association suddenly added additional buses on the Chapainawabganj-Rangpur-Panchagarh route via Natore. This created a dispute with the Natore Bus Owners Association. Due to this, all types of buses of owners from both districts stopped running on the Natore-Rajshahi route from the afternoon. A decision will be taken after discussing the matter.
