Trading on the country’s main capital market, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), ended on Tuesday with a rise in the index. A total of Tk 1,260.93 million 4,155 worth of shares and mutual fund units were traded on the DSE today.
According to DSE sources, a total of 491.872 million shares and mutual fund units of 393 companies were traded on the day. Of the companies participating in the transaction, the share prices of 284 increased, 60 decreased and 49 remained unchanged.
At the end of trading, the DSE’s main price index, DSEX, rose 60.49 points to 5,900.27 points compared to the previous trading day. In addition, the DSE-30 index rose 17.93 points to 2,219.49 points and the DSE Shariah index rose 12.87 points to 1,201.45 points.
The top 10 companies based on transactions are Dominguez Steel, Saiham Cotton, ITC, Sharp Industries, Indo-Bangla Pharma, Argon Denims, City Bank, Malek Spinning, ML Dyeing and Far East Knitting.
The top 10 companies with price increases are Argon Denims, Dominguez Steel, Acme Pesticides, Saiham Textiles, MBank Prothom Mutual Fund, Saiham Cotton, NCCBL Mutual Fund-1, Queen South Textiles, Desh Garments and Matin Spinning.
