Fear of major floods, 14 districts may be flooded

Due to continuous heavy rains under the influence of a low pressure area, the water level in various rivers of the country is rising rapidly. In this situation, there is a risk of flooding and inundation in the low-lying areas of 14 districts of the country in the next few days.

The Bangladesh Water Development Board’s (Pawbo) Flood Forecasting and Warning Center (FFWCC) has issued a forecast for Sunday (July 5).

The forecast says that the water level in the rivers of Chittagong division in the eastern and southeastern parts of the country may rise rapidly in the next five days (July 5-10).
