The 17 agreements and agreements signed between Bangladesh and China 2026

The Foreign Ministry said 17 agreements, memorandums of understanding, protocols and action plans were signed during Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s visit to China. The list of these agreements and agreements was released on Saturday (June 27).

The agreements and understandings that have been signed are:
1. Agreement on Development Cooperation between China and Bangladesh.
2. Framework Agreement on the Expansion and Modernization of Mongla Port Facilities Project.

3. Memorandum of Understanding on the joint implementation of the ‘2026 Human Resources Development Cooperation Plan’.

4. Memorandum of Understanding on Accelerating the Implementation of the ‘Global Development Initiative’ between the Government of China and the Government of Bangladesh.

5. Protocol on phytosanitary conditions for the export of fresh jackfruit from Bangladesh to China.

6. Memorandum on strengthening cooperation between China Media Group and Bangladesh Television.

7. Memorandum of Understanding between China Media Group and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of Bangladesh.

8. Memorandum of Understanding between China’s Xinhua News Agency and Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) under the framework of the ‘Global South Media and Think Tank Forum’.

9. Memorandum of Understanding between China’s Xinhua News Agency and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of Bangladesh.

10. Agreement on cooperation in Chinese language education between the Ministry of Education of China and the Ministry of Education of Bangladesh.

11. Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening Cooperation in Vocational Education.

12. Memorandum of Understanding on Exchanges and Cooperation between the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and the Communist Party of China.

13. Memorandum of Understanding on enhancing investment cooperation in green development.
