Seven police personnel, including two sub-inspectors (SIs), were injured in an attack by a gang of teenagers while conducting a drive to arrest notorious drug dealer Alamgir in Khulshi Ambagan area of ​​Chittagong city. Some of the injured have been admitted to Chittagong Medical College (CMCH) Hospital.
The attack took place at around 8:30 pm on Friday (July 25) at the Tarun Sangha Math area adjacent to the Khulshi Ambagan railway line. Among the injured are SI Mohsin Uddin Rubel, in-charge of Dewanhat police outpost under Doublemooring police station, and SI Mominul Islam, in-charge of Agrabad police outpost, and seven policemen.
According to police sources, a police team led by SI Mohsin Uddin Rubel and SI Mominul Islam conducted a raid to arrest drug dealer Alamgir in the Ambagan area around 8 pm. At that time, a group of teenage gang members suddenly attacked the police.
