Eight of the 10 people injured in the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on the Sambek Heights memorial complex near Taganrog have been discharged from the hospital, Rostov Region Governor Yuri Slyusar announced on his Telegram channel .
“As of 7:30 p.m., eight of the 10 people hospitalized this afternoon following a drone strike on the grounds of the Sambek Heights Museum Complex in the Neklinovsky District have been discharged,” the publication states.
Slyusar clarified that two patients, including a seven-year-old girl, remain in medical facilities. According to regional Health Minister Nairi Vardanyan, their condition is stable.
The Sambek Heights Memorial Museum Complex has suspended operations following a strike by Ukrainian forces. The roof, façade, and interior of the information and exhibition center were damaged.
On June 27, a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone struck the Sambek Heights Museum Complex in the Rostov Region. Twelve people were injured in the attack. According to Governor Yuri Slyusar, the museum’s exhibits were not damaged. The regional governor called the attack “a great tragedy” and “an act of particular cynicism.” The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal investigation into the terrorist attack.
