The Champions League title race is still a long way off, but Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti has already picked his favourite team. According to the former Real Madrid coach, reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are a bit ahead of the pack.
Ancelotti has experience coaching both Bayern Munich and PSG. When asked about the potential champions in an interview with Brazilian media outlet O Globe, he said without hesitation that PSG will retain the title. “Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will win the Champions League again. I hope Paris wins in the semi-finals against Bayern.”

The semi-final stage is getting hotter with the duel of experience and ambition. Carlo Ancelotti has seen the pressure, culture and ability of PSG and Bayern Munich from a very close perspective, having worked in the dugouts of the two giant clubs. Although Bayern is ahead in terms of history and success, he is keeping PSG ahead in terms of current form. He believes that if they can maintain this rhythm, Paris can not only get a ticket to the final, but also finally lift the trophy.
However, before the battle on the field begins, a different picture has emerged in the world of statistics. The Opter supercomputer has made its own prediction of the possible champion through complex mathematical analysis. The calculation says that Arsenal is the frontrunner in this year’s title race. The Gunners’ chance of winning the trophy is estimated at 36.75 percent.

And Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid will start this season as the ‘underdogs’. Statistics say they have the lowest chance of winning the title, with only 9.29 percent.
