The outbreak of Aedes mosquito-borne dengue fever in the country is not stopping. News of deaths due to dengue fever is coming every day. Hundreds of dengue patients are being admitted to hospitals every day. Two people have died of dengue fever across the country in the last 24 hours. During this time, 194 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals.

This information was given in a regular press release on dengue sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Sunday (December 21).
In 2024, a total of 101,214 people were infected with dengue in the country and 575 died. The previous year, in 2023, a maximum of 1,705 people died of dengue and 321,179 people were hospitalized after being infected.
