The political arena is now like a dance floor. World leaders, instead of giving speeches, are now dancing and singing to woo voters. Let’s take the case of US President Donald Trump. He is posting memes calling himself ‘Doctor Jesus’, where he is healing sick people like Jesus.
However, in between such meme posts, Trump is now busy dancing. He has performed his old and popular ‘YMCA’ dance in front of his supporters. On the other hand, Hungary’s Salt Hegedas has created quite a stir. He danced a strange ‘dad dance’ to Viktor Orban’s farewell. That clumsy dance of that time is now viral on the internet. From America to Hungary, dance is now the triumph in the voting field.
However, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has outdone everyone. He has chosen a new path to re-election. Nikol has started a whole rock band. The 50-year-old prime minister learned to play the drums last year. Now, with drum sticks in his hand, he is giving concerts across the country.
Pashinyan is beating the drum amidst the tough political debate. He has named his campaign, ‘We Play, You Dance’. Meaning ‘We will play, you will dance’. Voters are now preferring the beat of the Prime Minister’s drum to listening to his speech. The sound of the drum is now vibrating the voting field in Armenia.
